Terms of Service

Last updated 11 October 2026

These terms apply to Public Health ST1 Prep at prep.publichealthjobs.co.uk (the "Service"). By buying access or using the Service you agree to them. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. Who we are

The Service is provided by Techne Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 14170011) with its registered office at 82a James Carter Road, Mildenhall, Bury St Edmunds, IP28 7DE, trading as Public Health Jobs. You can contact us at enquiries@publichealthjobs.co.uk.

2. What the Service is

Public Health ST1 Prep is an online practice resource for the Public Health Specialty Training (ST1) assessment centre. It includes practice tests for the situational judgement test, Watson-Glaser critical thinking and RANRA numerical reasoning papers, with explanations and score tracking, and an AI interview practice module.

It is an independent revision resource. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to NHS England, Health Education England, the Public Health National Recruitment Office, Pearson VUE, TalentLens or any other recruiter or test publisher. Watson-Glaser is a trademark of TalentLens and RANRA is a trademark of Pearson; we use these names only to describe which papers our practice material relates to.

All questions, scenarios, answer keys and explanations are original and written by us. They are not the real test questions. They follow the published format and competencies so that practice transfers to the real assessment, but we cannot and do not promise that our answer keys match the official ones, or that using the Service will produce any particular result in the real assessment.

3. Buying access

Access is sold as a single one-off payment, shown on the site at the time of purchase. Payment is taken by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. Prices include VAT where it applies.

Once your payment is confirmed we email you a link to set up your account. Access is for one person, the purchaser, and is not transferable.

"Lifetime access" means for as long as we operate the Service. We intend to keep it running for the foreseeable future, but if we ever withdraw it we will give customers who bought access in the previous twelve months at least 30 days' notice.

4. Refunds and your right to cancel

Because the Service is digital content that you can use as soon as your account is set up, you agree that we may make it available to you immediately. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 this means you lose the statutory 14-day right to cancel once access begins.

In its place we offer our own guarantee: if the Service is not what you expected, email us within 7 days of purchase and we will refund you in full. We will process the refund through Stripe to the card you paid with, normally within 5 working days of your request. After 7 days, refunds are at our discretion.

Nothing in these terms affects your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 if the Service is faulty or not as described.

5. Your account

6. Using the content

The questions, explanations, interview prompts, feedback and everything else on the Service are our copyright or licensed to us. You may use them for your own personal preparation only. You must not copy, publish, share, sell, scrape or otherwise distribute them, or use them to build another product or service. If you do, we may close your account without refund and take further action.

7. The AI interview module

The interview module turns your spoken answers into text and sends that text to an artificial intelligence service to generate feedback. The feedback is generated automatically. It is intended as practice and prompts for reflection, not as an assessment of your suitability for training, and it may sometimes be wrong, generic or inconsistent. Do not rely on it as advice about your application. More detail on what is processed and by whom is in our Privacy Policy.

8. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the Service available at all times but cannot guarantee it. We may take it down for maintenance or because of problems outside our control. We may add, change or remove questions, features and modules from time to time, including to reflect changes in the real assessment. We will not remove the core practice tests you paid for without the notice described in section 3.

9. Our liability

We do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be excluded by law.

Otherwise, our total liability to you for anything arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for the outcome of your application or assessment, for loss of earnings or opportunity, or for any loss that was not a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms.

10. Ending your account

You can delete your test results from the History page at any time, and you can ask us to delete your whole account by emailing us. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. If we close your account for a reason other than your breach, we will refund you.

11. General

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, although if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may bring a claim in your local courts. If any part of these terms is found invalid, the rest still applies. We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the current version, and material changes will be announced on the site or by email before they take effect.
